Lagoon 42 Of Helm Yachting it is probably the most successful catamaran of the famous French shipyard, thanks to its clean lines and much larger spaces than a 40'.
The layout of our Lagoon 42 will make sailing enthusiasts very happy thanks to the very easy operations to perform: self-tacking genoa and central helm station raised halfway up the fly. With its double sunbed the flybridge itself is the favorite destination for those who love to sunbathe, while 2 other sunbeds in the bow integrate perfectly with the large classic nets overlooking the sea.
LIVING AREA
The set-up of the Lagoon 42 catamaran is classic: two typical "sea" areas, one forward with nets and sun loungers and one aft, a complete cooking area forward, together with a large salon in volumes, capable of hosting a dinette divided into 2 areas: one closed with kitchen, table for 6 and captain's table, plus an external area with an additional table for 6 people + long sofa and small sofa aft. No boundaries between inside and outside thanks to a large retractable French door. The kitchen enjoys a 360-degree view and 3 burners, an oven and a microwave oven, plus a large fridge and a freezer.
SLEEPING AREA
Its strong point is certainly the quality and comfort of the cabins: the interior embraces a refined, elegant and functional style. Even the 4 double cabins adopt impressive volumes, in particular the front cabin where the bed is now as comfortable and spacious as the aft cabins. The extraordinary quality of life on board is guaranteed by an accurate finish and internal lighting and a ventilation system for cabins and dinettes.
OUTDOOR SPACES
The bow has a traditional design: a large net offers the best solution for true sailing lovers (and for children's games), without however compromising the possibility of enjoying an aperitif on the comfortable sunbeds with adjustable backrest, just behind the nets .
As mentioned above, the dinette also has an external space (which can be closed off with separate curtains in case of bad weather) with a table for 6 people and a sofa at the stern end and a long "dormeuse".
The equipment is completed by a 100l/h watermaker, a very comfortable inverter and 4 bathrooms with shower, all electrified.
The prevailing winds around the Aeolian Islands during the summer tend to be from the NW or NE, although, in calm weather, light sea breezes from any direction can be encountered blowing between the islands.
While rare, storms are not unheard of during the spring and early summer and careful forward planning is required as there are only two harbors that offer adequate shelter.
